The outcome of over a decades work, delving into Western and Japanese sources, many of which have never been used in English Language Order of Battle research previously, The Rising Sun in Arms series (some 14 volumes are planned in total) will provide a comprehensive examination of the breadth and depth of the Japanese military from 1937 through to 1945.
